Last Friday, students in years 3 to 6, as well as schools from around the Highlands, travelled to the Church Rd Fields in Moss Vale for the annual League Tag Gala Day put on by the NRL. It was a beautiful day for sport, and the 250 MPS students were excited to show their best. Each team played four games for a total of an hour of football. Mittagong students displayed fantastic sportsmanship throughout the event and played their hearts out. Passing, kicking, scoring tries and having fun with friends was the order of the day. There were lots of tired, hot students at the end of the day! A special thank you to Mitch from the NRL for creating the draw, and to Robyn Griffiths from Colo Vale PS for doing all the behind the scenes work to make this day happen. Thanks also to the great students from Bowral HS and Moss Vale HS who refereed the games and made the day fair and fun for the players. We of course could not take so many students to a Gala Day without the assistance of the wonderful parent volunteers who came along to help. Stage Two would like to thank Phillipa Todhunter, Cath Dawes, Scott Lawrence, Glenn Turner, Katie Hinton, Rodney Pull, Andrea Eaton, Dionne White, Barnaby Bowden and Bec Houghton. You are all awesome!
