At Mittagong Public School we are very proud of our beautiful grounds. Our 3 hectare site offers our students a large field to play on and covered basketball courts, as well as junior and senior play equipment. We have a range of bikes and scooters for students to use at lunchtimes and smaller areas for students who enjoy quiet play.
Our school has a protected vegetable garden where classes can plant out their own garden bed and produce some delicious fruits and vegetables. Attached to this area our friendly chickens are looked after by the students and eat all the food scraps from the classrooms.
Our Student Representative Council is a group of year 6 students, elected by their fellow students, working democratically, as student representatives, in school decision making. The SRC also organise ways for students to participate in school life. This provides meaningful leadership opportunities for students and a voice for students in school decision making.

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.
